OCR for meeting notes

Turn a photo or scan of handwritten or printed meeting notes into editable text. Review it, fix what OCR misread, and use the notes as high-priority context when AllMins creates your meeting minutes.

What it does

AllMins recognizes text from meeting notes: a page from your notebook, a printed agenda with margin notes, a flipchart or whiteboard photo, or a scanned page. It is built for meeting notes — though if you need to, you can recognize text on any image. The recognized text stays editable, so you always review it before it is used anywhere.

What you can recognize

  • A notebook or planner page with handwritten notes
  • A printed agenda with handwritten remarks
  • A flipchart photo from a workshop
  • A whiteboard photo from a planning session
  • A scanned page of meeting notes

How it works

  1. Upload a photo or scan of your notes
  2. Choose the language of the note
  3. Run OCR
  4. Review and edit the recognized text
  5. Save the note
  6. Select it when creating meeting minutes — AllMins uses it as a high-priority source

Notes as high-priority context for minutes

When you create minutes from a meeting recording, you can attach your OCR notes. AllMins treats them as a priority source: decisions, deadlines, owners and numbers written down by hand help produce more complete and accurate minutes than the audio transcript alone.

Tips for a good photo

  • Shoot the page from directly above
  • Use good, even lighting
  • One page — one file
  • Avoid glare and shadows
  • Pick the note language before running OCR

Pages and billing

One OCR page equals one processed image or page. Failed recognition is not charged, and reusing a saved note in another minutes document does not consume additional pages.

Security and privacy

Your photos, notes and recognized text are processed inside your account and used only to produce your output. See the privacy policy for details.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use handwritten notes together with a meeting recording?

Yes. Upload the recording and a photo or scan of your notes, run OCR, and select the note when creating minutes. AllMins uses it as a high-priority source alongside the transcript.

Does OCR replace the transcript?

No. The transcript captures what was said; OCR notes add the decisions, numbers and action items you wrote down. Together they produce more complete minutes.

What if the OCR text has mistakes?

Recognition quality depends on handwriting and photo quality. The recognized text is fully editable — review and correct it before using it for minutes.

Are OCR pages charged again when I reuse the same note?

No. A page is charged when the image is processed. Using an already recognized note in another minutes document does not consume additional pages.

Can I recognize text on images that are not meeting notes?

The feature is built for meeting notes, but you can recognize text on any image if you need to.
